Petrified Forest National Park

The park did not dissapoint! We knew we would see petrified wood but were amazed by the volume and scale!
So cool how it cracks. Looks like someone took a chain saw to it!!
The colors just excite me so much!! Makes me want to osint a close up photo realistic "abstract"

The park also had great examples of peubloan ruins and petroglyphs.

We then hiked into the Blue Mesa trail. A great example of "Badlands" which I used to think was just the name of the National Park, but now know its a geological term for soft rock strata that is eroded into many gullies . The colored striations were so interesting.
The log below is Agate Bridge. It is 110 ft long.
The huge log below is called Old Faithful! Huge!!

And as promised, New England oysters for dinner! So so yummy!
