On Route to Hot Springs NP 4/18

Left Dyess Air force base for Hot Springs AR. It was our 3rd stay this trip at a FamCamp (through Jerry's Veteran status) They are a great new bonus. Lots of history and amenities.

Stopped for gas and found a local taco bar inside the Travel center!! Lol, only in Texas! They were amazing!!
 Found an amazing  Core of Engineers Campground on Brady Mountain Recreation area on this Lake, 30 minutes from Hot Springs. A real gem!
Now THIS is my idea of camping!!

Made it to the Texas Panhandle today. Found a great campground within Chibola National grassland. Lake McCullen Campground was next to a retired dam. $10.00 for electric, water AND hot showers! First outside meal! Finally approching warm weather. Arizona here we come!

Guadalupe Mountains NP Easter afternoon 4/9

Omg. My most beauteous cactus yet! Scarlet Hedgehog or Claret cup!! We did 2 short hikes in the afternoon, will do a linger one in the afternoon. Lots of new species found!! Mini carpets of yellow. tons of beautiful agaves! Mexican Buckeye Another great day but lour dogs are tired. Burgers for dinner. No pics  sunset from camper!        Coolest Thunderhead ever!
